Date: 20/12/2016
Location: Newton St Loe - Patch
Weather: Misty with a bit of blue -7c
Observation:
Headed out round Patch today despite a Blyth's Pipit turning up at Blagdon Lake, probably should have gone but i'll wait a bit :/.
Still lots of Blackbirds on Apple tree's at least 15 with Redwing also.
This little Dunnock looks a bit worse for wear, Buzzard top fields but little else.
Out through Village and very quiet, Nice!
A blurred Goldcrest about the best, in the middle of adding all of 2016 to the sightings spreadsheet, haven't been counting all species so not that precise but shows what we've seen. Will keep up the counts from now on.
I've got my new Lens the 100-400mm mk2 and the mk3 Teleconverter so the normally distant Goosander were a bit closer!
The sun even came out, anyone who's been to our lake will no the Goosander stay as far away from the path and people as possible so im very happy with new gear.
Wren in the sun to end.
A fairly decent count today despite the low picture count finished on 39.
Thought I'd add these couple of shots from Sunday, Robert and me did WEBS count at lake and this was walking back along drive.
From Orange to Pink!
Thanks For Looking !
