Birding From The Window - June

Date: 4th June 2016
Location: Birding From The Window - Newton St Loe
Weather: Cloudy, Low Light, Dry
Other Species: 7 Blue Tit (4 Fledglings), 3 Goldfinch, 2 Crow, 3 Great Tit, 2 Bullfinch, 1 Blackbird, 1 Magpie, 2 Marsh Tit - Of Note

Observation:

Was hoping for blue skies today to complete a 'Birding From The Window' blog, but unfortunately Overcast and Low Light will have to do!

Our Bullfinch pair is back, couldn't get a decent picture of the Female.

Still plenty of Goldfinches about, a total of 3 today, but the number normally increases throughout the day.

Then... A new Blue Tit family appears along with 4 Fledglings. Mum (or Dad) looking pretty worse for wear started off by feeding the chicks who were beggings, but within the hour all 4 chicks were using the feeders whilst Mum also fed.

All 4 Fledglings, look very healthy.

We wouldn't have all these birds feeding all day long if it wasn't for Garden Wildlife Direct. Big thanks to them and why not take a look at their website?

Other News:

Robert (our patch birder) is currently out in Newton St Loe, and has seen 2 Marsh Tit opposite the Heronry at Newton Park Lake. Thanks to Robert for the continued reports and sightings!

Thanks For Looking !
