Observation: It started grey and very windy and out through Bath Mill was quiet, this Blackbird was almost it ! But then I spotted a surprised Fox skulking in bushes before the dog track. Around Dog Track a party of Long Tailed Tits, Great and Blue Tits buzzed around trees. A Greenfinch also here with at least 10 Magpies and plenty of Wood Pigeons.
Out on to Fields and the wind was really blowing now but Skylarks still up and singing, a single Stonechat was seen in bushes and while looking at it fly away our resident Buzzard darted into Seven Acre for cover no doubt !
No Gulls on lower fields nor much else on lane, crossing over Pennyquick and in to Village a single Siskin on Village Square feeders in garden. A number of Blackbirds feeding happily on Cherries along with House Sparrows and a assortment of Tits.
Also there, these Coal Tits stayed staring at each other for a couple of minutes
"Make My Day Punk" I'm sure one was mouthing !
Herony only 3 Grey Herons on roost tree. 6 Siskins along on Lower Lake on Alders and a flypast Kingfisher.
Top Lake down to 2 Goosander 1 Male + 1 Female.
Little Grebe over other side of lake today in reeds unusual for him, but closer for me !
And Teal numbers on the rise on other side of lake with the Little Grebe.
On return walk 60+ Redwing but little else. A windy + cold walk but nice to be out ! :)
Thanks For Looking !!
