Pilning Wetlands - Severn Beach


Date spotted: 21st May  3PM Onwards
Location: Severn Beach - Pilning Wetlands 
Observation: Lots on starlings on on Beach Road, feeding on freshly cut grass. Mostly fledging/juvenile starlings with only around 7 or 8 adult starlings. Also alot of House Sparrows in bushes. No waders seen. Kingfisher seen along the just off the estuary flying back and forth. Pied Wagtail catching flies (amazing to watch him running back and forth catching them!) along path, lets you get within 4 foot of him!
Weather: Cloudy, Sunny, Warm
Other Species: Blue Tit, Great Tit, Bullfinch, Crow, Jackdaw, Starling, Pied Wagtail, Kingfisher, House Sparrow, Barn Swallow, Mute Swan, Coot, Mallard, Wood Pigeon, Meadow Pipit, Canada Goose, Swift, House Martin
